Miranda E. Goodwin, JD

Miranda joined Sarah’s practice as an affiliated attorney in 2020. In 2025, they formed Malia and Goodwin as law partners. Miranda is a graduate of the University of Tennessee (UTK) College of Law and became licensed to practice in Tennessee as of 2020. Miranda enjoys assisting elders and individuals with disabilities. She advises clients on how to manage crises, present and future. As an empathetic person, Miranda welcomes opportunities to meet her clients’ needs and enhance their quality of life where possible. Her analytical skills and patience serve her well as she helps clients navigate unique and inevitable challenges. In addition to assisting clients with elder law issues, Miranda also handles estate administrations or probate cases when loved ones have died.

During her final year at UTK College of Law, Miranda was a Qualified Student Attorney in the Wills Clinic, providing pro bono services with her supervising professor in order to help clients establish conservatorships and prepare estate planning for families in need. She continued volunteering with Legal Clinic after graduation and soon was asked to officially fulfill a newly-created role, monitoring and triaging all inquiries and initial intakes for Wills Clinic. In 2024, Miranda came full circle and has continued on since then as a  supervising attorney herself, along with Sarah, assisting the Wills Clinic with essential administrative and legal services.

Miranda’s personal time is dedicated (in no particular order, she swears or affirms) to her dogs, husband, and close-knit family. She also strives to travel near and far on a regular basis to explore the globe and gather enriching experiences shared with friends and family.
